About Vic
Vic moved to Yelverton twelve years ago with his wife Nicolette and their son Jack, who attended the local primary school. Vic started his career as a teacher in Cheshire. Following a Masters degree in Education he became Head Teacher of a Special School in Oxfordshire. A career change to seek new challenges outside education saw him specialise in financial services whilst pursuing a parallel interest in local radio.
This led to Vic starting a company that developed a software system to detect fraudulent documents. His system is now used throughout the UK in Banks, Hotels, NHS trusts, Councils and Universities. He is an experienced Councillor and is a strong Community Champion for Rockland ward with a proven commitment to representing local residents.
He is also a County Councillor for Henstead division which covers Poringland, Framingham Earl and surrounding villages and a member of the Broads Authority. He was pleased to have ensured that conservation areas in Bramerton was extended last December.
Now semi-retired he spends more time pursuing varied interests including golf and other sporting pursuits and is focused on a desire to keep the South Norfolk Council well managed doing more for less to benefit local people and businesses.
Vic has the proven enthusiasm, energy and commitment required to be a district councillor. He cares about people and knows his local area well and will be an effective community champion for local people. He says “Local people need someone to stand up for them on the local Council and, if elected, I hope to be in a position to get things sorted for local people in local villages.” He says “As an experienced Councillor I am fortunate that I am in a position to get things sorted for local people in the local villages and I derive a great deal of personal satisfaction from helping those who come to me to solve their problems
