About Alison

Alison has lived in Long Stratton with her husband and three grown up children for over twenty five years. She qualified as a nurse and her early career was spent at Guys Hospital in London, where she became a sister. Alison is an experienced District & County Councillor who first became involved in local issues campaigning for a Long Stratton Bypass from 1997.

She knows about the importance of delivering the Long Stratton bypass and making crucial improvements to the Hempnall crossroads, which will be completed this autumn. She is delighted by the District Council’s £2m upgrade for the local leisure centre and is so pleased that other improvements like the building of the £800,000 new all-weather pitch in Long Stratton have been delivered ahead of new housing development, not after.

She is very aware that housing growth will trigger the need for a new primary school and additional high school places and is committed to ensure that the educational provision for Long Stratton delivers the right outcome for pupils.

Alison has represented Long Stratton since 2007 at both District and County level and is keen to continue to support the community. She has the proven enthusiasm, energy and commitment required to be a district councillor and hopes you will support her once more at the polls on May 2nd
