Your Conservative Councillor for Stratton
Stratton ward which comprises 3,500 electors in Long Stratton and is represented by two Councillors on South Norfolk Council.
All across South Norfolk forty six Conservative community champions are standing in this election, each dedicated to solving local problems and growing a stronger economy and creating better lives for local people one family at a time, one street at a time and one place at a time. Here in Long Stratton Jonathan works hard to improve your life.
Jonathan has lived in South Norfolk all his life. He attended school in Long Stratton and now lives locally near Shotesham with his partner. He has two grown-up children.
Jonathan made a career in the industrial plumbing and welding business. His company has worked on some of the most prestigious projects across region and he spent time offshore in the North Sea in safety-critical locations which require an organised approach and attention to detail.
He is concerned about the environment and has been in a position to ensure that a large number of prominent buildings have been installed with the latest energy-efficiency and monitoring technology to keep energy use and emissions low whilst maintaining a comfortable living environment for occupants.
He says “I have the energy and commitment to be a Councillor. My experience of business, industry and employing people means I know how to build and motivate teams to get the best possible outcome. I want to help the Council to run as the team that puts residents first and works smarter to solve people’s problems.

Following the Elections held on 4th May 2023, local Conservatives run South Norfolk Council. Running a council is a serious business but we never forget our mission to make South Norfolk one of the best places to live in the country.
