Federation Update

Dear Hilary,

I am delighted with the management team’s progress since the formation of the South Norfolk & Waveney Valley Conservative Federation.

As I communicated last week, a new Federation Executive Council is being formed where our excellent strategic plan “Election Readiness” will be presented for adoption on 22nd November.

The plan is focussed on building a harmonious federation of energised members and volunteers to campaign at our best and get our excellent candidates, Poppy Simister-Thomas and Richard Rout, elected.

To support this single objective, the plan also includes securing office space for the election campaign and the formation of a new donor’s club to support the federations fundraising and other exciting member initiatives. Much has been achieved in the federations first few weeks and your candidates and the team are focused on delivering the plan.

On a personal note, I am also writing to inform you that I have been asked by the board of directors of my business to take on a broader executive role, requiring my full-time commitment including significant travel commitments. Unfortunately, this will not allow me the time required to fulfil the demands of the Federation Chairman role. Accordingly, the federation will be in touch to progress the selection of new candidates and election of a new Federation Chairman.

I look forward to seeing you at the many exciting events being planned throughout 2024 as we campaign to win.

With best wishes,

Mike
